Key Responsibilities

  • Design and size Grid‑Connected Photovoltaic (GCPV) systems, including solar PV modules, inverters and related equipment for Malaysian climate conditions.
  • Prepare detailed electrical schematics, single‑line diagrams and system layouts in accordance with Malaysian standards and Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations.
  • Conduct solar energy‑yield assessments and performance analyses to optimise design efficiency.
  • Collaborate with project teams during installation, testing, commissioning and acceptance phases.
  • Ensure AC‑side connections are performed by licensed electricians and comply with local safety standards.
  • Develop technical documentation, proposals and reports for clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma in Engineering / Engineering Technology or a Bachelor’s degree in Science (Physics, Applied Physics, Industrial Physics) or equivalent recognised by SEDA Malaysia.
  • Certification or proven knowledge in GCPV system design (SEDA GCPV Systems Design Course preferred).
  • Proficiency with electrical design software and solar PV simulation tools.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian electrical codes, standards and renewable‑energy regulations.
  • Analytical skills to solve technical problems and perform precise system sizing calculations.
  • Fluency in English; Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin are advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to travel for site assessments and project supervision.
  • Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience with solar PV modules (GCPV).
